Farmers Market moves to Thursday

Beginning Thursday, July 31st, The Downtown Swainsboro Farmers Market will be held every Thursday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Patriots Park. Until now, the market, which was initiated in 2010, has been held on Fridays. The change comes due to popular demand from both customers and vendors.
“While the farmers market has experienced great success so far, we see this change as an opportunity to better accommodate and potentially draw more customers and vendors,” said Lynn Brinson, Director of Downtown Development.
The farmers market is restricted to locally grown and produced items and features a variety of fruits, vegetables, baked goods, crafts, and more.
The Downtown Swainsboro Farmers Market is a project of the Downtown Development Authority of Swainsboro and operates April through October of each year.
